Russian court schedules first hearing of Ulyukayev case for Aug 8
MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) -- The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has scheduled the first hearing of a bribery case against former Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev for August 8, spokeswoman for the court Emilia Khil told PRIME on Wednesday.
“A session on a criminal case against defendant Alexei Ulyukayev is scheduled for August 8,” Khil said, adding that the hearing will be preliminary and held behind closed doors.
Ulyukayev was arrested in November 2016 while allegedly receiving a U.S. $2 million bribe for a positive outlook on privatization of oil company Bashneft by Rosneft. The former minister, who can face up to 15 years in prison, is under house arrest.
